There were also several trucks from Nevada and Oregon, including the Best of Show Working Combo of Phil Miller and James Davis’ 1997 Peterbilt, which earned the Participant’s Choice award, respectively. But, there were also a few that don’t usually attend these shows that made the trek from places like Texas, Ohio, Utah, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri and Indiana. The meals were catered by the Thunderhill Grill, and Dynaflex wanted to thank Jim and his crew for all of the amazing food they prepared and served.īeing a show in California, some of the “usual suspects” who attend Pride & Polish events had to travel extra far, which kept a few of them away. The participants showed up to compete for trophies, bragging rights, and a chance to qualify to be included in the national championships later this year at the GATS show in Dallas, Texas.Īs the event’s main sponsor, Dynaflex Products organized most of the extra activities and did a great job setting up the show. With space to stretch out, it was easy to park the 55 or so trucks in two long lines, with the combos on one side and the bobtails on the other. The venue, which is about an hour north of Sacramento, out in the middle of nowhere, proved to be an isolated but good location.
